A New Chapter

A New Chapter.

Tired.

After three days of driving. We made it to our new home, Springfield, Missouri. A rather large step, but one that was needed nonetheless. The cost of living in Florida was not accommodating for us. The constant influx of people moving there has driven up the costs for housing and simple living. It has in som ways become a bit unaffordable for the common worker there, from groceries to gas for your car, prices have gone up to the point that we could no longer live there.

As I point out the negatives, there were positives. The beaches, the warm climate and our friends made Florida a wonderful place to live in for 7 years. We have some good memories that we will carry with us from there.

Now, we start a new chapter in our lives here. While it can be daunting and nerve wracking, we are excited to start this new journey. We are not unfamiliar with the midwest. We lived about 8 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Though, I find Springfield to have way more things to do unlike Tulsa and it there is more greenery here as well. Yes, we went from hurricanes back to tornadoes (we live in Tulsa, nothing new for us), but we are okay with that.

We arrived here yesterday, slept good, and spent the early part of the day running errands and surveying the landscape here. I am now looking for work and hav sent out my resume to numerous places around here, praying that I get a call back here soon. I hate waiting, but I must trust in the Lord. I must confess that I am not very good at it. I tend to be impatient. The Lord is working things, I know, but it in His time, not mine and that is where I must learn.

As this new chapter starts, I am looking forward to what happens and what the Lord has in store for us. I am looking forward to sharing this journey with you and I pray to keep consistent with this blog as I have failed most miserably in the past to do so. Writing here will help me with my stress, my anxiety and fears. I tend to hold onto them and not share them. Bottling them up will not help me. So, this is why I like to write. It is a way for me to vent and release my thoughts and feelings.

So, thank you for the reading this and I look forward to posting here again, soon, I hope.

God Speed!
